Czech company Orling Ltd., producer of well-known Geladrink preparation, was founded in 1992 in Ústí nad Orlicí. From the very beginning it collaborated with many experts, among them co-founder of the company Professor MUDr. Milan Adam DrSc, Drh.c. stood out as a world leading expert on rheumatology and biochemistry of connective tissues. Whole his life he pursued prevention and treatment of locomotor system of children and adults. The importance of Milan Adam´s scientific and research work has exceeded our borders for decades and it is appreciated mainly abroad.

A very valuable and original knowhow of the company – referred by Professor Adam – lies in the field of treatment of osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and other diseases of locomotor and ligamentous systems by collagen peptides. This knowhow is the base for the development and production of GELADRINK® BRAND collagen arthronutraceutics with positive physiologic effects on joints and locomotor system health. Their spectrum creates the “System of intensive care for painful joints”.

Although Professor Adam was a member of New York Academy of Science, he lived and worked in Czech Republic. Therefore the largest expansion of collagen preparations, that bring relief to many people with locomotor system diseases, has taken place right here.  In 2003 UNESCO prize for lifetime achievement in medical science was awarded to Professor Adam.

Another eminent expert collaborating with the Orling Company is Professor MUDr. Karel Pavelka, DrSc., head of the Clinic of Rheumatology in Prague. Under his leadership a big clinical study was conducted according to principles of Evidence Based Medicine. The tested food supplement was Geladrink®Forte. This study and its conclusion, that Geladrink® Forte is an effective against painful knee arthrosis, was accepted into Abstracts in the congress of European League against Rheumatism (EULAR) in 2007 in Barcelona. Based on this preparation and its efficacy the most complex novelty PERPETUUM Geladrink® intended for active people and athletes was developed.

The efficacy of the brand ORLING preparations are verified by clinical studies conducted in various ways – as pilot studies or studies according to Evidence Based Medicine. The preparations have been also subjected to 21 years lasting clinical practice and have been used by patients for self-medication of joint diseases. Newly obtained findings are used for innovation and development of new preparations for human and veterinary application.

The philosophy of the Orling Company stands on the following principles: qualification, honesty, decency, quality and efficacy and production of the original Czech preparations with a high efficacy. The company also supports science, culture and sports, mainly handicapped athletes and veterans. Among handicapped athletes there is a long-term collaboration with Ing. Jiří Kalousek – multiple Czech Republic champion in cycling of handicapped. Ing. Kalousek also successfully represented our country on the European Games and World Championship in Colorado, where he took 5^th place. The collaboration with the athlete Miroslav Havran has started in 1998. He is one of the best veteran athletes in the world. The aim of this collaboration was to improve the condition of his hips afflicted by grade IV osteoarthritis. Thanks to this collaboration and testing of Orling Company preparations, that protect and regenerate joints and bones, Miroslav Havran achieved a great success, when he took part in European Indoor Championship of Veterans in Swedish Malmö and he brought gold and silver medals for long-distance runs from World Championship in New Zealand.

Another very important collaborating athlete is a jockey Josef Váňa, the octuple champion of Velká pardubická steeplechase, the toughest continental race. Josef Váňa, who sustained many severe injuries during his riding career (fracture of pelvis, fracture of all ribs, two vertebras, five fractures of left and three of right clavicle, fractured shoulder, both wrists, fracture of a left leg, fractured heel bone, jaw, five concussions, lung perforated by a rib, total hip arthroplasty), takes daily combination of GELADRINK  arthronutraceutics continuously.

Subsequently we can name many other collaborating athletes testing the efficacy of the Geladring: for example Miroslav Havran – marathon veteran, Ing. Jiří Soukup - the oldest Czech athlete, Ing. Marcel Heydušek – Taekwondo, Radek Málek – bodybuilder, Jaroslav Pudil – triathlon, Prague Panthers – American football, Martin Vráblík – downhill skiing, Mgr. Hanka Ebertová – Ultramarathon cycling, jockeys Josef Váňa, Martina Růžičková, Barbora Málková, Nikola Bielíková – show jumping and many other athletes.

The Orling Company uses all results obtained by experimental research, testing and clinical practice or by collaboration with expert societies as the Czech Society of Sports Medicine and Society of Connective Tissues of CMA of JEP for improvement of its products, which brings a great benefit for all, who take ORLING, or more precisely GELADRINK food supplements.
